The Writing By Writers Wolf House Residency is scheduled for March 3-10, 2018 and early July 2018
Applications are due by January 1st and selections will be made by January 15th. Applicants will be asked to provide a brief statement of intent telling us what you hope to accomplish during this residency, a short writing sample (10 pages prose or 5 poems) and submit a $50.00 tax deductible application fee. The application fee will help fund fellowships at future Writing By Writers workshops.

Winners will be selected by Pam Houston. Pam’s most recent book is Contents May Have Shifted, published in 2012, by W.W. Norton. She is also the author of two collections of linked short stories, Cowboys Are My Weakness and Waltzing the Cat, the novel, Sight Hound, and a collection of essays called A Little More About Me, all published by W.W. Norton. Her stories have been selected for volumes of Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Awards, The Pushcart Prize, and Best American Short Stories of the Century. She is professor of English at UC Davis, directs the literary nonprofit Writing By Writers and teaches in The Institute of American Indian Art’s Low-Rez MFA and at writer’s conferences around the country and the world. She lives on a ranch at 9,000 feet in Colorado near the headwaters of the Rio Grande.
